What I don't understand is why Apple produced such a load of rubbish with its maps app when its partner TomTom makes an excellent satnav app (better than the factory fitted options in my cars).
TomTom has been in mapping and navigation since the mid 90's. How long has Apple been doing it? From what I understand, TomTom only supplied the maps, not the routing engine.
