. I don't need the latest and greatest. I've been using iPod touch so I'm familiar with iOS. The only thing that kept me away from smartphone was the monthly plan price. Straighttalk $45 plan eliminate that. I prefer apple to keep google maps but it's not a deal breaker since I don't use maps extensively.
Did you buy it unsubsidized? If so, did they reduce the price? I think it was $649 and up last year.
You don't have to upgrade to iOS6. Then you'll keep your old Maps, though you won't get some of the newer features, like Passbook and Siri that does more, like find sports scores and opening apps.
