But I have the same inconsistency issue with small hair trimming scissors (blade/fulcrum under 4"/6cm) which became legal in NAmerica, the UK and EU in the past year or two. (Still not sure about most of Asia.) At CDG they still claim these are not permitted and confiscate them. (Fortunately I've found a shop in Singapore where I can buy them at S$4 a pair!)
