The SIN add on won't happen because that flight is going to 380 from Jan 2013. Btw it's 2x 773s to CGK, not A332s.

Bali is magical. Tourism is rising massively. I've made a couple of comments recently as Indonesia is as the worlds 4th largest country (with massively increasing middle class) - i'm amazed that EK doesn't fly more than twice a day. Mind you, when I first flew Emirates (to Jakarta) i'm sure it was a 3 times a week hop via Colombo and Singapore, so the twice a day A330 is a big improvement.

I've learnt a fair bit on this forum, and Bali will come, but I believe that Surabaya may come first. There was belief inside the country for a couple of years (please don't take this as fact - it's cobbled together rumours) that Lombok was to be targetted first as the new airport was linked to dnata (or subsiduary) owning half of Lombok's south coast. Subsequent rumours were that financial issues meant that the land has been taken back, and Lombok has been left with a shiny airport much further away from where 99% of the tourist go (north west coast).

Then there was the 4th EK flight to SIN which has perfect timings for a quick add-on (with the Indo EK manager making a couple of comments along the lines of 'Emirates is coming!'). But that didn't happen.

QR has been impressed (3 a week to daily). Cargo is reportedly a big earner. Emirates doesn't mind an add-on leg or two.

So in answer to your question, I don't know

It will happen when we're not looking for it. But it will happen!
