You're correct, form of ID has nothing to do with Pre-Check selection, only the BP scan. The thread title was slightly vague. But as the OP implied in the second paragraph, we should be hopeful at the prospect that more awareness of GE/NEXUS within TSA ranks will increase ease of acceptance of those programs' IDs by TDCs as at
all checkpoints.
