Okay, given the fact that I chose correctly that HDFC was going to be one of the banks as well as the fact that I wanted an HDFC-branded credit card (*not* Jet's!), I first verified the earning rate, and the dimwit JetChild-affiliate stated that we would be receiving a 5,000 JP mile extra per Rs. 75,000/- spend, I then told them to come over and do the application. (That would work out to a voucher earning with the old Citi-Jet card)

However, after doing all that, I again clarified with the marketing team (after much detailed pushing) and found out that the 5k JP miles was only a bonus!

Buggers...

Oh well - I guess it doesn't hurt to get more JP miles, but given the fact that I am simply accumulating and not redeeming, it really doesn't make any sense...

But if I'm not earning anything more for vouchers, then I'm not using this card very much - better to reevaluate everything properly.
