They currently have 3 slots at CDG with 2 direct and 1 coming now via AMS. The latter is causing no end of trouble and expense to maintain the slot, so much so passengers are now dropping the AMS HKG flights due to severe delays and cancellations as the turn around at CDG is too tight. Management have been aware of this for a long time, yet the arrogance of CX management does not take into consideration the damage they are doing to the customer base who used AMS HKG.
