An Hons degree (Honours degree or examination for the degree). In the U.S honours means different things in different universities/schools.
In many other English speaking countries, a degree without emphasis on a specific field and without an hours examination is called a pass degree. You can have a B.A. (pass, or an ordinary degree) or B.A. Hons (First, Second,. Third, etc). One may be enrolled in Maths Hons, Physics Hons, Economics Hons or B.A. Pass or B.Sc. General degree course. In the U.S. you will be a math major, and meet your major equirements by taking a certain number courses (U.S. sense).
Some Universities do not offer an ordinary/pass/general degree course at all. While some award ordinary/general/pass to those who fail to achieve an honours degree.
Course in many countries means the entire degree programme as opposed to a specific unit of a subject, such as Algebra I (in the U.S.)
Summer School is remedial course in the U.S. while in many other places, Summer School is focused training for the exceptional. It can give a completely different impression when you say "I attended summer school every summer"
