Although I appreciate the moralists on this board saying that those who booked the tickets shouldn't be so "greedy", etc...the matter is UA is more than willing to screw me/us when we make a mistake, so why should they be able to back out of theirs?
If I make an error, I get charged fees/refares/talk to someone in India who thinks Dulles is Dallas/wait on hold for 2 hours (I don't have status - anymore - on UA), but if UA makes a mistake and discovers it days later they should just be able to cancel it and walk away?
