to be honest according to the d o t regulations and what they have said it sounds like it's clearly covered... kind of surprised they didn't make them honor them... But that's clearly what happened
i wonder if they are doing it and trying their luck (ie. many of the people might not bother to complain for moral or ethical reasons).....
Just like their overselling and bumping people off the flight..... you try to entice them $250........ then $400...... then push n shovel $600, and worst $600 and a business class seat on the next flight.... u try with vouchers first..... then worse case in cash
