I should be able to do SDC's day of flight right? I'd like to do PIT-DTW-ATL-LAX, which would get me to LA potentially 4 hrs earlier than what was available for T fares and bump up the MQM by about 500.
I'm interested in hearing about SDC stregties as well, since this is a pure MR for me, I want to maximize miles... so if I can somehow add more legs to my PIT-JFK-SFO-JFK-PIT, I'm all ears. I am experienced with SDC to earlier and shorter (direct) flights, but have not tried SDCing to something longer/different. I imagine I would first fly to JFK, then call the help desk to change from direct JFK-SFO to maybe JFK-ATL-SFO to add ~500 miles? Anything more creative?
