Some large bunches of flowers in vases on podiums strategically placed throughout the passenger cabins, perhaps some top-flight art purchased or borrowed from one of the world's leading galleries, an improved stage for the string quartet that should be employed to entertain us passengers while waiting for take off or during any other untoward delays on the ground ... all of these things would help to make the plane less plain.
