Just one very small point- Croatia will indeed join the European Union next year- however will not join the European currency (euro) (EMU)- they will thankfully keep their own currency which makes Croatia much more affordable indeed than its neighbors Slovenia and Italy on the same coast.
I am glad you enjoyed Leoni's so much- I visit Croatia quite often for both work and holidays- and have not yet found another restaurant which has the match of ambiance/service/value/quality.
