I had a $100 e-cert someone one send me to "make up" for one of the screw ups I dealt with so I tried to use it the other day. Nothing but problems. First it would not take it, then it would take and it wanted to know which pax to apply it, then it would not apply to me so I tried to apply it to my wife and it gave the credit to both of us...but of course it had not ticketed by the next day because it now saw the error....then I decided to change our travel days by one day since we were still inside the 24 hour window of the original booking. That took a phone call to PM reservations and the nice lady there said "the easiest way to do it is just cancel the old res because it never ticketed and make a new res and the e-cert would be release and could be re-used...Not quite right. She did cancel the original res because I could not because it was not ticketed but when I went back online to make the new res it would not take the e-cert. Why? Because it had been used. After 45 minutes on the phone with another res agent I finally told her, when I was not on hold waiting, that I had to get on the road and she could call me later with the result. Finally about 2 hours later she did call and told me they finally had the new res in the ticketing que......and it did ticket correctly the following day. No, they don't really get that it is not working right....but we get E+ seating and booking...oh for the old days when this was easy to do.
