Once airborne, one must exercise vigilance to ensure that the trolley-dollies don't serve you Cava, prosecco, or white lambrusco in lieu of proper champers. Alas, to too many it's all the same fizzy stuff.
I do pay attention and sometimes if I'm served a glass of sparkling something without being shown the bottle, the FA is shocked and awed when I immediately recognize that it isn't the good stuff. I'm shocked sometimes when the FAs insist that they think it's all the same and at least pretend that I'm the first passenger to tell them that the up in the air champagne is different from the PDB stuff.
