Apologies for bringing such an old thread up; but I have a quick question regarding SQ and MH interlining.

I have a ticket from YVR-NRT-SIN on AC/SQ respectively and another from SIN-KUL-PER on MH.

If the agent is unable to check my bags all the way to Perth, could I ask them to check it through to NRT, pick up my bags and check in again at the SQ counters where hopefully the agent will be able to check in my bags from NRT-SIN-KUL-PER?

If it is of any help, I booked YVR-SIN on Orbitz and have 2 separate airline confirmation codes on AC and SQ + I booked SIN-KUL-PER on MH.com.

ps. The reason I ask this is because I have *G and would like to benefit from the luggage allowance; but if it means I have to collect my baggage in SIN and check in again to PER; I will only be able to bring 20kg on MH (no status! )
