I paid for Boingo for about a year. For me, it's less about the plan and more about the hotspots. In the U.S. they seem to have reduced their footprint. Internationally, if you know where you need wireless, figure out who that location partners with, if anyone. Then get a plan with
that provider before your trip begins. When I've used Boingo internationally, I haven't found the list of hotspot locations to be all that convenient. That is, I don't want to walk / take a cab to a hotspot that's a mile away from me just for free WiFi.
