Only around the BTS Area, but that's only for those drinking the Cool-Aid, you don't have to stop if you are in a rush. Many Thais just go on even though the Anthem plays.
As far as Cinemas, Paragon's NOKIA Theatre is still the LEading VIP in BKK I hear. But at 800 a pop, it's rather pricey
