This Parliamentary train replaced an even stranger phenomenon: the Parliamentary train replacement bus service. You used to be able to get a bus from Ealing Broadway to Wandsworth Road, though staff would apparently deny all knowledge of it, and the only notice of it was a poster on a pillar facing a wall.
That was replaced by the train after complaints from a whole host of people including London TravelWatch who argued....
