With regards to going to a TK ticket office to get an award flight, it is a concern but I'd really like that to be confirmed with first-hand experience. Their FAQ isn't really up to date: it states that one can book the award ticket online and needs to go to a sale office.
I had this confirmed over on the TK forum about 6 months ago. TK awards can be done online but *A awards need to be done in person at the ticket office.
Not sure if the UK phone sales option works instead of being in a physical ticket office as that is a new thought.
