Even if he paid for it at an office it will be (almost certainly) an electronic ticket
If you know the reservation number, you can go to emirates.com, access the booking using Manage a booking and then near the top in the "Passengers" box, there is a column "e-ticket Status" and if you click on "view/print" you will be able to view the eticket and get the details
