Hi,

I live part-time in Berlin and I don't know your age.. that is most important for the restaurant choice..

So, let's see around Unter den Linden.. are mostly tourist restaurants, no local would go out here..

But as you are just visiting, just have cocktails on the roof top terrace of the hotel the rome if the weather allows it... That is the new Berlin and the service is OK.

At 20€ per person, you will miss of course the best restaurants such as the Margaux, and of course the Fishers Fritz at Gendarmenmarkt...(some still consider it the best restaurant in Berlin, I don't. It still lacks atmosphere..)

I agree on the Paris Bar, commented on by rougemont. But it's just the other part of the city, far away and visited right now by too many tourists. no locals either.

If you want to try some more 'berliner' Place?

Try "Doudou" it's very à la mode right now - really everybody goes here. It's a modern version of the so so Borchardt.
And the best, it's cheap - we are in Berlin - around 13€ a plate, it's asian cuisine, of course..best sushi in town (and I compare only to new york restaurants) .. great, if you are between 30 and 45
It's kind of crowdy, loud, ok, very loud but just so Berlin. This kind of restaurant will make you love Berlin, too.

[OK, now I hope, that not all tourists will come here because then, I wouldn't go anymore :-) ]

Ok, I'm not objective, here.. ;-)
