I was on a flight with my wife and kids (then 4, 1 (almost 2), and 9 months during the United summer of hell. Our original flight was canceled because of the pilot slowdown which made for about an 18 hour journey from SEA-BWI (originally IAD). The now late night ORD-BWI leg we took up the last row of the plane.
As the FAs were just finishing up their drink service the pilot came on and said things might get a little bumpy because we were heading into a storm front. Just as we were served our drinks (along with all of Y) the plane suddenly dropped. Everything not secured went to the ceiling...it was like a technicolor rain storm. The lady in front of me managed to hold on to her laptop which provided for a very nice landing spot for her seatmates bloody mary. Liquids from the cieling continued to drip down keeping my now awake and disgruntled children awake. And for good measure my 2 year old daughter threw up what seemed like all of the liquids she had consumed since we arrived at the N terminal in SEA.
