I'm flying on a United p.s. flight out of JFK in the late morning and was wondering whether it would be open. Yes, it's quite a ways from T7, but I've heard it's much better than the United Club.
Not the First Class lounge. I'm a frequent UA Int'l FC lounge user at JFK and am writing right now from the FC Swiss Lounge--my first visit. All I can say is that it's probably nice when it opens and if you're on their first flight out. It's 7:20pm and I'm on the last flight out. There's a couple pieces of cheese, two empty platter where food probably once was, and a few clean glasses at the bar. The guy across from me is drinking champagne from a highball glass. There are dirty dishes everywhere. One employee just passed through the lounge (which, by the way, is a fraction the size of UA) texting on her phone and not even paying attention to the lounge or the guests. There is no proper place to do work. Everyone is balancing laptops and fighting for the few outlets when one opens. Sad to say but I'm missing the UA lounge and I'm hopeful the in-flight FC experience is a great improvement.
