Most likely you will be referred to the UA Club lounge in the terminal where your flight departs from.
That lounge will refuse entry, of course.
Why would it?
United Star Alliance Gold customers may only access the United Clubs within the U.S. when travelling in conjunction with a Star Alliance international flight.

The OP states he is a United club member -> He will have access to United Clubs
OP will not have access to the Swiss lounge, they do not grant access to United club members. OP is not arriving or departing on an international *A flight. However he is *G and on a *A flight so he should have access to *G designated lounges. I think the Swiss lounge is NOT a *G designated lounge, hence it does not show up in the finder.

The only reason I ask is that I usually am able to use *A lounges even on domestic UA flights with my United Club Membership. For example, I often use the LH lounge at IAD even before a short hop over to ORD, and have never been denied access. Thus, I was hopeful that I could use the Swiss lounge in terminal 4, but when I input my information here http://www.staralliance.com/en/benef...lounge-finder/ only the LH lounge and the United Club show up.

First class lounge JFK
I will be flying Swiss F to NYC in august. on the swiss website there is only 1 lounge listed at JFK but in some forums I found information about separate business and first lounges. or is it the Lufthansa F lounge that I should visit ? found some good reviews on that. can anyone help ?

The LX lounge at JFK Terminal 4 has two separate, adjacent sections, one of which is for F / HON only. The LH lounge is in Terminal 1, to which you will not have access.

LX F at JFK is excellent. The check in desk is right next to the entrance to the terminal. There is an escort through TSA Pre/fast track (often you are brought to the front of the queue).
The F lounge is small with 16 or so seats and a dining section with 4 tables. The menu is good and I mostly eat in the lounge and not on the plane.
Good PA service on arrival, often able to just queues as well.

LX F at JFK is indeed great as far as check in is concerned. we were escorted through security but it was not really a fast track. it was a line a bit on the side and the lady who escorted us just jumped the queue which I found it a bit embarrasing. the lounge itself is not really glamorous, quite small. service, food and drinks were good though. there is only one shower which could lead to waiting time. both toilettes in the lounge were temporarily out of service.
