They don't need your Starpoints number because they don't ever intend to credit your Starpoints account. Hopefully you'll just forget or decide its not worth the effort, otherwise they'll get your number off one of the 15 emails and letters you send them demanding they credit your points. Eleven months and I still haven't gotten my HHonors points they owe me.
