Tonight I booked a flight for Mrs. Flying Eagle to accompany my son on a college tour. She discovered that as a Premier member she no longer gets to pick an E+ seat at booking and now only gets one bag checked. After discovering that...she texted me that the Jeff's new-and-improved United was making a very strong vacuum sound. (That's my translation.) Instead of booking our son on United she had me book him on another airline.

A thought, what if everyone who still would like to see United survive, would send in copies of competing airline tickets purchased to United with a note of why they bought them over United. Think of it as free marketing analysis that might shed some light on their losses.
