With *A you can use the benefits of one FFP whilst crediting the miles to another.
*Gold makes such a big difference I would seriously consider getting to *G on TK and then crediting miles to UA once you have status.
You can make good use of your orphan TK miles for upgrades on TK metal, and in the grand scheme of things 40k miles (4%) missing from your MM total isn't going to make much difference.
