As someone who repetitively travels to the same hotel each week, I constantly forget which room I'm in. I'm sure at one point I've stayed in each room on the club floor, so remembering which one my key card works in from one week to the next can be challenging when I'm coming back late (especially after drinks).

I have gotten in the habit of ripping off the part of the cardboard key holder which has the room number written on it. This little slip of paper goes into a picture slot in my wallet. I am always looking there to find out what room I am in.
Sometimes, if going to the fitness room and I don't want to take along my wallet I will "mark" my room with the DND sign somehow. Bend a corner of it, wedge it in upside down, etc.
I get embarrassed when I have to call down to the desk to ask what room I am in....
