I don't think it will happen - I think PEK still does not allow Republic of China (i.e. Taiwan) carriers to overfly China en route to Europe - thus they have to fly via BKK or overfly Korea/Russia.
Well there's the option of a stop in ICN....but there's still the issue of overflying China. Well, anything to keep me off of OZ metal. OZ's too expensive.
Oh well, if they keep not awarding miles for cheap tickets, I'll just have to give my business to SQ.
