I am rather disappointed with what I see at mlife.com. It was my first trip that I played heavy (in my opinion) at an MGM property (Aria). I stayed across the strip from Aria at PH since I get comp rooms automatically from TR. As from my previous post, I played about 9.5 hours for 3 days at about $350 per hand in baccarat (verified by a host). The host says she can comp me free rooms/limo etc but when I log into mlife.com, I see rooms available but are at a rate. Even rooms at lower end props charge me. I was hoping I can book free rooms, offers, etc like what I do sometimes with TR but even with my Gold status at MGM, I don't get free rooms automatically? I don't get it. Hopefully it will just take them time to update my account?
If I have to go through a host every time, I will probably just stick with my Diamond status at Caesars.
I've been a Diamond player for 4 years now hitting tiers of 88k points, 93k points, and 87k points 3 out of the 4 years. I was never bumped up to 7-stars nor was I treated any different than a "minimum" Diamond member hitting 10k tier points (at that time). I'm currently at the Platinum level at MGM properties and in my opinion, the MGM rooms BLOW AWAY the Harrah's facilities.
Even if you have to use a host to book, it's well worth it...just shoot them an email and let them take care of it. I know that a room is just a room, and when you're in vegas you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room, but when you lose, every little bit helps you feel better!
Also just to clarify, if your room is booked as a comped room, you DO NOT have to pay a resort fee.
I go to Vegas about every month and I used to never play at MGM. Now I won't touch Harrahs properties at all. What MGM offers is SO MUCH MORE than what Harrahs will/can offer.
