I don't know; back in Dec 2002 my wife and I had booked Continental tickets on Virgin metal from LGW to MIA for ourselves and our (then) 2yr old and 7-mth old specifying bassinet seats. On check-in the bassinet seats had already been allocated, so the VS check-in staff said he would upgrade us from Y to VS PE to give us a bassinet; but as we had CO tickets and CO didn't offer PE he upgraded us to VS Upper Class instead . I was quite a fan of bassinets on that occasion! (It was the old UC btw - a bit like sleeping on the floor.)
