ozstamps, with all due respect, some of what you say is true, but much of what you say is simply untrue. As one of the founders of what you refer to as the "competing board" I can state catagorically that the site is not elitist. The site is in a beta test phase while the kinks in the system, of which there are many, are ironed out. The reason there are a limited number of participants in the board right now is that you need a few posts to see where the problems are. It's quite simple. Once the kinks are ironed out, the site will be opened to any and all, yourself included. Right now, the place is a mess, but getting better every day. We just felt it would be a nice idea to cook a few meals in the new kitchen before we open the doors to the public, eh? Seems only prudent, wouldn't you agree?

As for being 'competing', again, a point of clarification. I love FlyerTalk and have enjoyed Randy's hospitality for over two years. I still love FT and am a regular participant. I have never, ever, made any claim that I would leave. FT is a wonderful site with a wealth of information. I am here to stay. However, sometimes I want a steak and sometimes I want fish. I love them both equally but sometimes I'm in the mood for one more than the other. If I want a steak, I'll go to the Balkan Grill. If I want fish, I'll go to the Balkan Seafood. Similar in style, perhaps, but offering entirely different menus. And, rest assured, if I have a problem with either meal, I'll send my opinion to the kitchen right away. I call it constructive criticism.
