Lightbulb Longevity of $200 airline reimb?

So one of the main reasons I signed up for the plat card is this $200 annual fee reimbursement, since for me it effectively knocks down the $450 membership fee down to $250. But this seems like too good of a perk. Anyone think this might disappear in a couple of years?

I feel like this makes sense for amex if people are using it just for the occasional bag fee or in flight cocktail, but if everyone started reaping the full benefit by getting e-certs (which I think defeats the entire point of not allowing for the $200 to go to buying tickets themselves in the first place), wouldn't amex realize it's unsustainable and stop this perk?

Curious what the veterans (and any management consultants) here think!
