Charging for UK APD twice - once for ticketed flight - again for upgrade
So booked in Z April 7th from LHR and waitlisted for F - noticed that already charged for APD on ticket and for upgrade $550 plus APD that hasn't cleared.

Didn't they use to charge only when cleared and why the extra APD ?

Could be worse - could be stuck at LAX or twice delayed SFO-SYD flight..not a great 48 hours for United ...walk people walk !
