Baggage recheck in Terminals B and C is for passengers connecting to another Star Allance Flight only.

What is your friend's domestic connecting airline?

If it is United or US Airways, he should be good to go. If he is connecting to any other airline, he will have to go to that specific airline's ticket counter to recheck his bag.


Here are some threads you might want to refer him to, for more information on connecting through EWR. Please have him ensure ge allows 2 hours at a minimum between flights if he is a US Citizen, and upwards of 3 hours as a non-citizen.
