I look at it like the person or myself chose the window for a reason and they or me are going to look out if they please...I love looking out in the middle of the night and seeing the moon! Though when in the Caribbean we do close them after landing to keep the plane cool and hope everyone else does too. What happens if the FA on a 787 dims your shade when you don't want it dimmed...can you get up and go to that panel and undim it?
