Which one is the best for tourist? Where to do the locals go?

I never gone but I have friends coming from abroad and they want to go.

On the list of markets they want to see - designer fashion copies, silk, pearls, electronics, health products & entertainment dvd/music.

Are they separate markets? or is it all that huge one on Nanjing East road. (I hate the place)
