I could tell he felt very bad and brought me 3 Customer Appreciation Certificates for this one flight. Although I don't feel bad about using all of them because that was a pretty significant mishap I'm concerned that United might flag me for abuse. Has anyone else had experience redeeming these?

By the way I am 1K and redeemed one already and received choice of 9000 RDM/$200 e-cert / 10% off.
When you want to redeem the remaining e-certs, do it on different flights.. the system might "see" that you already got compensated for the p.s. trip and not issue anything.

Did you contact UA about the laptop?
