No government (local/state/federal) can forcibly medicate a person unless they pose a risk to themself or others. That being said, the affect on this situation is minimal from a legal point of view. However, the same FA would likely lose her job if she did not go back on medication. Why? If she refused, her actions whilst off medication would pose a detriment and open-ended liability to her employer. At the end of the day, the choice to medicate or not medicate is an individual choice. The choice for either will carry its own set of benefits and consequences.
Even if she went back on her medication, wouldn't it have a bearing on her rehiring? After all, if she went back on her medication, that merely restores
status quo ante, and there is devinitely a high likelihood of this happening again.
