hile boarding at B14 in ATL, the e boarding pass didn't pull up. She restarted her phone but that didn't work either - it was doing the "loading" thing once again. She had full signal and was able to checks FIDS data using another app, so there was definitely a live data connection as well. She said that a
very friendly Delta gate agent printed out a paper boarding pass, but was quite put off at the reliability issues.
I understand that most people are able to use the app without issues, but
there are definitely quite a few people having similar issues on the marketplace reviews and elsewhere. I respect that the Delta app is, by far, the best of any carrier's that I've tried, but
there should be some fail-safe built in to prevent anyone from having the same problem. It's quite possible that someone can miss the last flight out after waiting in a long TSA line and finding out that the app suddenly doesn't want to work when they get to the ID check station.
Danny, if you have a brief explanation of what may have caused the issue this evening, and any possible solutions to avoid it in the future, that would be great. If you'd like the PNR, I'll be more then happy to email/PM that.

Also, it is now almost 3 months since I pointed out that the Map for MSY shows the Newark, NJ (EWR) area.
As far as the boarding pass not being on the device, did you check in on the device first or online? For right now the initial check in needs to be done on the device in order to get a mobile boarding pass.
For the map of MSY showing EWR, we'll update the data source for that. The device calls out to update that data on a weekly basis so that change will happen without a new version.
