Is this actually a report of a Premium Economy offering or is it Economy in the Premium Economy cabin? Y+ is not a "sold" cabin until 1 April. Until then I know they are seating MPO in the Y+ cabin but I don't know if this is with Y service or Y+ service. If the former then I am not surprised the meals were from Economy.
This current month of "free" premium economy is a proper premium economy service with specific menus etc. They are trying the service so that they can refine for revenue premium economy the following month.
The ISM told me that the general policy is that the first meal is "like" a J class service, and the second meal is like a Y class service.
