I just went in to upgrade my notification preferences and it appears there is no longer an option to receive a text message when a CPU clears...email only. I'd like to have the text message brought back. Also, the only upgrade notification is for CPU's...not for other waitlisted upgrades (at least that's all that shows up as an option in the profile).
Please bring back text notification for CPU's and any other type of upgrade that clears.
My solution to this was to use the SMS e-mail box for my wireless provider (e.g. for Verizon Wireless,
[email protected], where I substitute in the phone # of my mobile).
This isn't perfect for two reasons:
- Even when specifying "mobile device" as the address type, the e-mails are larger than a single SMS and get split into two separate SMS messages.
- You can apparently have only one active e-mail address at a time (the "add" button allows you to add new addresses, but you still can only send to one of them). I'd like to send to my mobile device and my e-mail inbox; there are places I can't check my e-mail on my mobile device but can still get SMS messages.
