The web support person I just talked to assured me that all of the merger-related problems have been resolved.
She was able to help me with my issue: I was locked out of website. She removed the lock (without asking me anything to verify my identity) and I was able to create a new PIN by using the Forgot My PIN link. (I had not forgotten it; it just stopped working.)
I was able to get through to web support fairly quickly via the 1K line.
