Got a call to check in over the phone - this is the first time the automated system has tried to automatically check me in. However, after answering all the questions and saying yes to getting checked in for the 3/4 flight - the response was we are currently not able to check you in please go to the airport to check in.
The idea of checking in by phone is good, if it was working. I am sure it is due to my travel plans and passport/visas etc. And yet again I was not on the upgrade list from SJO-IAH segment of the flight.
