Despite your assurances that everything would be fine with my upgrade not pending for my flight tomorrow I am at the UC @ORD and they say it is not and there is nothing they can do about it. I was instructed to call the 1k desk, which currently has a hold time of 30 minutes. So what is the point of having membership in the UC if they can't help you with your reservation?
