We can do that with visas when they're for work related trips, but not for the passports themselves. And since I don't currently have work travel booked, it's all on me. I'll just hope for the best case scenario in a timely return^ (my current passport expires in August, so I sort of waited as long as I could before renewal....) I'm just wishfully hoping/joking that the temporary loss of use will lead to me needing to take a trip^
