SingaporeJoe, I had a good flight - I didn't eat, but was kept well supplied with drinks by some great crew.

GigoloArt, how you manage a Y to F op-up is to fly a new route where there aren't many Golds, Y is oversold to hell and back (DUB), and have a nice chat with the person you suspect is the load controller. For what it's worth - they seem to have picked good staff and contractors in DUB, the few I've dealt with have been very pleasant and more than helpful so far. In the country that gave the world FR, I think they will do well by offering a product that makes air travel pleasant.
