I have a similar question that fits into this thread (better than starting a new one)...these days is there a place to trade in old hardware for recycling in exchange for cash. My old laptops have problems like the wifi adaptor no longer works or it keeps freezing. Probably not something that would sell on ebay, but could be used for parts. Are there any decent places to exchange them for a few bucks without worrying about financial data or personal data being stolen?
