"CanJet Announces Moncton-St. John’s Non-Stop Service"

CanJet, eastern Canada’s original low-cost discount airline, announced today that it will introduce new non-stop jet service between Moncton and St. John’s as well as Moncton and Toronto on September 9th. The Moncton-St. John’s non-stop service will operate Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with the Moncton-Toronto non-stop service operating daily. CanJet will be accepting bookings on these new flights effective Monday, July 29th.

Julie Gossen, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, CanJet Airlines, said, “Excellent support from our customers and the travel industry in the New Brunswick/PEI region for our Moncton service, combined with growing demand for non-stop service to Toronto and Newfoundland, has contributed to this decision.” She went on to state, “We are delighted that this new non-stop Moncton-St. John’s service will effectively link three of our Atlantic provinces. Based in this region, CanJet is able to respond quickly to regional market demand and this is rapidly making our airline the preferred choice of Atlantic Canadian air travellers.”

Ms. Gossen said the new CanJet Moncton-St. John’s non-stop flight will be the only scheduled jet service to St. John’s for New Brunswick and PEI customers. She pointed out the new fall and winter schedule will see the discontinuation of the CanJet Moncton-Montreal non-stop summer service while the airline’s fleet will be utilized to meet customer demand for Moncton non-stop flights to both St. John’s and Toronto.

CanJet Airlines is a division of IMP Group Limited, Halifax, Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s largest aviation and aerospace companies. CanJet provides low fare scheduled services to six destinations in Central and Eastern Central Canada with Boeing 737 aircraft.
